Pernah tak apabila anda membeli sesuatu barangan dengan harga RM22.42 (termasuk cukai), anda membayar RM23, kemudian anda dipulangkan wang baki sebanyak 50 sen? Sepatutnya anda dipulangkan sebanyak 58 sen...
Kejadian seperti ini selalu berlaku apabila anda membeli barangan yang mempunyai cukai seperti di KFC, Pizza Hut, dan seumpamanya.
Selalunya apabila diberi wang baki yang tidak mencukupi tanpa rela kita berlalu pergi... Ah, apa ada sangat dengan 8 sen?
Tetapi cuba bayangkan kalau beribu orang dilakukan sedemikian berapa banyak syarikat tersebut mendapat keuntungan...
Sepatutnya, pekerja yang beragama Islam perlu meminta izin atau halal dengan duit pulangan yang tidak mencukupi. Yang lebih baik, berilah pulangan yang lebih. Kalau 58 sen, berilah 60 sen. 2 sen yang diberi extra itu, insyaAllah akan mendapat keberkatan!
Perhatikan ayat-ayat Allah di bawah yang menyuruh kita jujur dalam urusan sukatan, timbangan dalam urusan jual beli...
"Among the People of the Book are some who, if entrusted with a hoard of gold, will (readily) pay it back; others, who if entrusted with a single silver coin, will not repay it unless thou constantly stoodest demanding because they, say "There is no call on us (to keep faith) with these ignorant (pagans)." But they tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it." (Ali 'Imran; 75)
"And come not nigh to the orphan's property, except to improve it, until he attain the age of full strength; give measure and weight with (full) justice;― no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear;― whenever ye speak, speak justly, even if a near relative is concerned; and fulfil the Covenant of Allah: thus doth He command you, that ye may remember." (Al-An'am; 152)
"To the Madyan people We sent Shu`aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! Worship Allah; Ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (sign) from your Lord! Give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due; and do no mischief on the earth after it has been set in order: that will be best for you, if ye have Faith." (Al-A'raf; 85)

Mampukah mereka, pekerja-pekerja Islam meminta halal kepada kita di kemudian hari?
